CosyColours Furniture Wax Grey

We have also put all our experience into the development of this wood wax in grey. The wax with the medium grey colour shade is particularly suitable if you want to finish surfaces that have been treated with chalk paint such as CosyColours chalk varnish or matt varnish, i.e. in the MissPompadour colour quality Matt Varnish. This wax closes the open pores of your matt paint application and creates a smooth surface with a matt appearance. The wax application also makes the surface more hard-wearing and easy to clean.

The grey tone of the Wax gives you the option of making your chosen colour shade more subtle and cooler. But you can also give untreated natural wood a stable surface and a very light grey shimmer with grey wax. The great thing is that the wood structure is always retained. Wood that has become yellowish over time loses its unwanted yellow tone and looks fresh and modern again. The wax is also ideal for sealing stone and cork, giving it a subtle colour.

How to use CosyColours wax in grey

First, clean the surface thoroughly. Natural wood may need to be lightly sanded. We recommend using the CosyColours wax brush to apply the MissPompadour grey wax. This thick, round brush sits comfortably in the hand. With its strong natural bristles, it can pick up and release enough wax. The easiest way to work with it is to heat the wax very slightly. You will then realise how well it can be worked deep into the pores of the surface with this brush. Allow a first, thin layer of wax to dry before applying a second layer. Finally, polish the surface with a soft cloth.

CosyColours Furniture Wax Grey on metal

As the grey wax is also suitable for metal, you can use it to refurbish hinges and locks. But even an old metal locker can be given a completely new look with CosyColours Wax. It is always important that the wax adheres well to the surface. It should first be roughened a little. If necessary, sand the metal a little beforehand. Then allow the first thin layer of wax to dry before you start on the second.

The environmental compatibility of CosyColours furniture wax

Like all our waxes, this grey wax is made from beeswax and carnauba wax according to an old recipe. The beeswax gives it its wonderful fragrance. It contains the smallest possible amount of preservatives and solvents. However, a small amount is necessary to ensure sustainable storage. Wax should therefore be kept out of the reach of children.
