Technical information

Application:

  • Application with synthetic or natural hair brush, paint roller, paint sprayer
  • Ready to use, dilute with 5% water if necessary
  • Clean tools with soap and water
  • approx. 8m²/l, depending on the absorbency of the substrate
  • from 7°C to 25°C ambient and substrate temperature

Application recommendations:

Painting very smooth surfaces
  • Preparation: Clean the surface thoroughly. Wax layers, silicone-containing contamination and grease layers must be thoroughly removed.
  • Priming: Apply a thick, thoroughly covering coat of MissPompadour To Bond & Block. Can be painted over after approx. 3 hours.
  • Top coat: Top coat with Matt Varnish, recoatable after 4 hours. Depending on the colour shade and substrate, several coats may be necessary
  • topcoat: A transparent topcoat with To Seal is possible in the case of extreme stress

Painting untreated wood
  • Preparation: Clean the substrate thoroughly. Wax layers, silicone-containing contamination and grease layers must be thoroughly removed.
  • Priming: Some types of wood (softwoods, tropical woods, oak) can cause discolouration in light varnish layers due to bleeding of wood ingredients. In this case, apply a thick, thoroughly covering coat of MissPompadour To Bond & Block. Can be recoated after approx. 8 hours.
  • Top coat: Top coat with Matt Varnish, recoatable after 4 hours. Depending on the colour shade and substrate, several coats may be necessary.
  • topcoat: A transparent topcoat with To Seal is possible in case of extreme stress.
Painting coated wood and metal
  • Preparation: Clean the substrate thoroughly. Wax layers, silicone-containing contamination and grease layers must be thoroughly removed. Remove damaged varnish layers.
  • Priming: Apply a thick, thoroughly covering coat of To Bond & Block for heavy-duty use. Can be painted over after approx. 3 hours.
  • Top coat: Top coat with Matt Varnish, recoatable after 4 hours. Depending on the colour shade and substrate, several coats may be necessary.
  • topcoat: A transparent topcoat with To Seal is possible for extreme stresses.
