Using the wood colour beige skilfully
A colour that is not at all bright - that's beige. Beige tones radiate warmth and calm, have a subtle effect rather than catching the eye and can also be combined with many colours. So if you want to paint wooden surfaces, beige wood paint is a good choice.

Beige wood paint for indoors and outdoors at MissPompadour
Wood colour is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Incidentally, it can not only be used on wooden surfaces, but you can also beautify other materials such as metal, stone or plastic with a coat of beige wood paint. Firstly, think about the nature of the surfaces you want to paint. Are they indoors or outdoors, are they subject to heavy wear and tear and should they be easy to clean? Select the right paint quality based on these criteria. Our beige varnishes are suitable for both raw and previously painted wood - old varnishes that do not flake off can simply be painted over without sanding! On untreated wood, we recommend a first coat with our To Bond & Block primer to avoid unsightly discolouration due to bleeding.
Beige wood varnish for interior use
Indoors, there are objects such as chairs, tables and benches, as well as kitchen furniture and stairs, that are exposed to a lot of wear and tear. Our Eggshell Varnish variant is suitable for this. With this all-rounder varnish, you can achieve smooth, silky matt surfaces that are pleasant to the touch and easy to clean. Surfaces painted with Eggshell Varnish are also resistant to pressure, impact and scratches.
If you want to create a velvety matt, extremely elegant surface, we recommend using the MattVarnish finish. It is particularly suitable for furniture such as cabinets or chests of drawers that are not subject to extreme wear and tear. A wooden ceiling or wood panelling also benefit from a coat of Matt Varnish. The matt look of the beige colour shades emphasises the elegance of the powdery-looking surfaces. These two MissPompadour paint variations are available in the more than 90 different colour shades in our Just paint Collection, including many interesting shades of the wood colour beige. All of these colour shades are also available as beige wall paints. They are also perfectly coordinated with the MissPompadour non-woven wallpaper collection.
At MissPompadour, you will also find beautiful chalk varnishes for wood. The CosyColours chalk paints include soft, friendly beige tones, such as Smooth Beige or Creme Beige, which leave nothing to be desired. These colours are particularly suitable if you want to create an authentic vintage style. The slightly rustic, matt surfaces are also ideal for a classic country house style.
In the child-friendly LittlePomp chalk varnish collection, which is completely harmless to health, you will find a warm beige colour that not only appeals to children. The Beige & Warm wood colour is also available as a matching chalk-based wall paint.
Exterior wood paint: Beige for weatherproof coatings
Beige wood paints that are used outdoors should be weatherproof. If you are painting garden furniture, garden fences or the garden shed, you will always get a good result with the robust paint quality Eggshell Varnish. It goes without saying that a coat of paint on window frames, front doors or garage doors should have a long service life. With the beige wood varnishes from Eggshell Varnish, you are on the safe side outdoors. The only thing they cannot tolerate is standing water. The beige wood varnishes from Eggshell Varnish are therefore not suitable for floor tiles or roofs where water collects.
Painting wood beige: Areas of application
There are endless areas of application for painting wood beige. From kitchen furniture to tables, chairs and benches, from chests of drawers to large cupboards, there are no limits when it comes to furniture. But you can also beautify a wooden ceiling whose yellowed colour shade you no longer like or whose dark colour looks oppressive in the truest sense of the word with a light, fresh beige. Of course, you can also change your doors with beige wood colour and, of course, your window frames. If you are a fan of a maritime interior design style, you can also combine beige wood paint with shades of blue. A soft turquoise colour is also perfectly complemented by wood paint in sand and beige tones and creates a lasting holiday mood in your home. For example, use Beige with Sand together with Green with Aqua.
Beige wood colour on stairs, floors & wall panelling
Gloomy-looking wall panelling made of dark natural wood becomes cheerful and friendly with a coat of Beige wood paint. For less heavily used wall panelling that you want to create a sophisticated and chalky-velvety effect, why not go for a soft beige wood paint such as CosyColours Snuggly Linen Beige?
Have you ever thought about painting your wooden staircase inside the house? In a beautiful beige like Beige with homeheartmade in the hard-wearing quality Eggshell Varnish, it will look light, almost delicate. Of course, a wooden floor can also be painted in a beige colour shade. This is because beige colours are so neutral that they go with everything from wallpaper and wall paints to carpets and upholstered furniture. If you are finishing a wooden staircase or wooden floor with beige wood paint, you should also stabilise the painted surfaces with MissPompadour To Seal at the end. This stabilisation provides additional protection against scratches and cleaning agents.
Beige wood varnish for painting windows & doors
Whether inside or outside, you can give window frames and front doors a new look with beige wood varnish. On the outside, you should work with our weather-resistant Eggshell Varnish variant. You can use any quality of varnish inside. Incidentally, the wood colour is not only suitable for wood. It can be used on virtually any material. So, don't worry if you have plastic windows. However, you should work with a primer on plastic surfaces. It offers the beige wood colour a secure hold on smooth surfaces. Use MissPompadour To Bond & Block here before applying the wood paint.
Using beige wood paint in the garden
In the garden, beige tones blend in well with the surroundings. Paint wooden objects such as a pergola, fence or garden shed with beige wood paint. Beige wood varnish also looks wonderful on garden furniture. Combine the light, natural colour with dark brown, fresh shades of green or chic grey.
A new look for wood: order beige from MissPompadour Paint
The wood paints in the MissPompadour Just paint Collection include charming beige shades such as the fresh Beige with Peach or the delicate Beige with Cashmere. The CosyColours chalk varnishes also score points with interesting wood colours in beige. You can even find a chalk-based wood colour in a warm beige shade in the LittlePomp children's collection.
It's best to order colour cards. The colour cards in the Just paint Collection are postcard-sized and can be removed individually so that you can examine and compare them in any light. The LittlePomp colour cards and the colour samples of the CosyColours colour card are hand-painted. So you can not only see the original colour, but also feel it.
If you are unsure which beige colour to choose or how much of your beige wood paint will be used on a difficult surface, simply ask our customer service team. Friendly and competent staff will answer all your questions.
When you order your paint, order your tools such as brushes, Rollers and paint trays at the same time. This will save you additional shipping costs and a trip to the DIY store.
