Shades of pink on the wall: colour effect
First of all, pink tones are always colour shades between red and white. The more red components a pink has, the greater the colour intensity, which can extend to strong pink. Pink with Peony is an example of an intense pink. With a predominance of white, as in White with Powder , pink is pastel light and can appear very delicate.
As with other colours, not all pinks are the same. Depending on which pigments are added to a pink, a colour shade of pink can appear in completely different nuances as a wall paint. If a little blue pigment is added to a light shade of pink with a large proportion of white, the resulting colour is a soft pink with a fresh, cool room effect. Rose with Peach Blossom gets its romantic effect from the addition of beige pigment.
If brown pigments are added to light pink, the effect of the resulting colour shade is very delicate. A wall paint like this adds calm and serenity to any room in the house, despite its brightness. If you increase the dose of brown pigment, a soft pink can be turned into a real power colour like Rose with Brown. This wall paint, which is related to dusky pink, can be used to decorate the walls of almost any room in your home.
But pigments in black can also completely transform a pink base colour. Adding grey to a delicate shade of pink creates a sophisticated colour that is far from kitschy. Men can also make friends with such wall paints.
When choosing a colour, however, you should always consider the lighting in a room. Does it have lots of windows? Do they receive their light from the south or west? Or is it a north-facing room? In this case, you should avoid wall paints in pink with grey or black, as a north-facing room can otherwise appear slightly dark. On the other hand, light pink with a high proportion of white and a beige or light brown colour shade can also make the walls in a north-facing room inviting.
Pink colour shades are suitable for many rooms
Pink is a colour that is naturally friendly. Its red content makes it the perfect wall paint. We unconsciously associate red with emotion and passion, but mixing it with White turns the power colour red into a subdued, homely colour shade that creates a cosy environment as a wall paint. This makes pink an ideal colour that is not only great for interior walls. That's why there isn't really a room that couldn't benefit from a coat of pink wall paint.
A new look for your living room with pink wall paint
Pink wall paint can give your living room a whole new look. When choosing the colour, you should consider whether the pink paint should only be used on one wall or whether you want to use the emulsion paint on all the interior walls of your room. If you are looking for a wall paint for all walls, a light pink wall paint is recommended. If you only want to emphasise a single wall, you can also use paints with a larger proportion of red or a lot of brown pigments such as pink or old pink. You will find a large selection of wall paintsin various shades of pink among the wall paints from MissPompadour.
There are many ways to combine wall paints in pink in the living room. Other pastel shades such as a soft blue go just as well as black and anthracite. Gold or brass-coloured accents also go well with the colour pink.
Ideas for pink in the bedroom
You can also create a calm, cosy atmosphere in the bedroom with pink on the wall. Paint the wall at the head of the bed in a strong old pink and the rest of the walls in the room in the delicate Rose with Peach Blossom. This colour shade corresponds wonderfully with dusky pink, but it doesn't necessarily have to be dusky pink. Painting all the walls in the room with the cosy Rose with Marshmallow creates a soft, calm and particularly feminine ambience.
The pink colour choice for the children's room
Children, and little girls in particular, love pink. That's why a light pink is also a perfect colour for a baby or children's room. MissPompadour Paints offers two beautiful colour shades in rosé in its LittlePomp children's collection. One is the subtle Rose & Fearless and the other is the warm, vibrant Rose & Unique. All the chalk paints in the LittlePomp Collection have been selected with children's psychology in mind. Nevertheless, they are by no means only suitable for the children's room, but also inspire many adults.
Create atmosphere: Pink wall paints for the kitchen, bathroom & hallway
The different and therefore very versatile colour pink also fits well in a kitchen. The expressive Rose with Marshmallow looks particularly harmonious in combination with a natural wood kitchen in dark wood. A hallway can also benefit from a light shade of pink, especially if it has no windows. The delicate Rose with Warmth works well here. This is because it goes well with almost all colours in adjacent rooms. Pink can also have a great effect in a bathroom. Combine it with Black and you can create a personalised, nostalgic environment reminiscent of the 1950s.
Wide colour scheme of the wall paint pink
The broad colour scheme of pink tones at MissPompadour starts with the very light White with Powder, which perfectly complements all darker shades of pink. Rose with Warmth is a light, powdery pastel shade with very light grey tones. It can be combined particularly well with all shades of grey up to a dark anthracite. The warm Rose with Marshmallow is somewhat more intense and has no sweet effect at all, but is more of a real power colour. It can be used on all walls in a room and is not just for women, by the way. Rose with Cherry Blossom is a friendly rose tinted with Brown and Grey. And a strong shade of pink should not be underestimated. Pink with Grey is a soft lipstick shade and a great colour for a single bedroom wall.
Last but not least, LittlePomp has two delightful nursery colours, Rose & Unique and Rose & Fearless. Both are also suitable as interior colours for adults.
