Effect of the wall paint orange
All colour shades between red and yellow are referred to as orange. Depending on which of the two colour components predominates, the orange takes on a different radiance and also a different degree of brightness. Orange tones are also changed by adding other coloured pigments. Brown is often added, but also white, beige or blue pigment. This results in a broad spectrum of orange tones, all of which have one thing in common: they have a cheerful, invigorating radiance. Whether it's a light or dark shade of orange, orange is always a colour that puts you in a good mood.
Wall design with wall paints in orange
It's no surprise that orange tones are therefore also perfect colours for wall design. With orange wall paints, you can make the sun rise in any room and bring summer into your home.
Orange as an interior colour for the mid-century style
In the 1960s, there was a great departure in terms of colour in interior design. The Danish designer Verner Panton developed completely new colour shades and colour combinations that revolutionised the rather boring, well-behaved understanding of colour of the 1950s. In addition to strong blue and violet tones, one of his favourite colours was a strong, radiant orange. He did not shy away from combining all of these colours.
Vibrant orange such as Orange with Goldfish was one of his favourite colours and was quickly taken up by other designers. The elegant mid-century style was already an ideal fit for the wall paints orange. The development culminated in the colour scheme of the 1970s, in which orange played a leading role. If you love the mid-century style, combine an accent wall in orange with beautiful wooden furniture, clean lines and a few accents in gold.
Orange for a classic look
Orange tones can also liven up a classic interior style wonderfully. The combination of a light or slightly muted orange, such as Red with Coral, with soft beige or white tones, such as White with Marble, fits wonderfully into a classic ambience. Antiques or furniture made from dark woods harmonise perfectly.
The soft, slightly darker Red with Flamingo wall paints can also emphasise a classic look. Both orange tones are mixed with white, which makes them appear soft, gentle and naturally lighter.
Intense orange tones in the kitchen for socialising
As orange is a vibrant colour that spreads a good mood and creativity, its use is particularly recommended for a kitchen. Here you can create a friendly atmosphere with the wall paint orange in combination with other more restrained colours. The warmth and vibrancy of orange is particularly desirable when people are eating in the kitchen.
In combination with kitchen furniture made of natural wood, the colour orange immediately gives your kitchen a fresh look. Light orange wall paints with yellow tones, such as Orange with Tangerine, create a warm atmosphere, while the soft Orange with Chestnut creates a cosy atmosphere with its red and brown tones. Orange with Salmon is another wonderfully appetising colour from the Orange wall paints colour scheme. The light beige pigment makes this colour very homely. Its warmth and elegance make it a good wall paint for the dining room.
Combining orange wall paints
As orange tones are always rather expressive colour shades, you should preferably combine them with neutral, calm colours. Shades that pick up pigments that have been added to the orange tone always go well with orange. For example, Orange with Salmon works wonderfully with the soft Beige with Cashmere. The soft White with Marble complements all reddish colour shades well.
Colour schemes of orange as wall paints
MissPompadour has a whole range of attractive orange wall paints. Whether the colour comes more from yellow or leans towards red, whether its white content is high or low, together they have one thing in common: they are all colours that convey warmth and cosiness.
The most intense and expressive orange in the collection is certainly Orange with Goldfish, a bright, strong colour shade. The colour Orange with Tangerine is lighter, but no less vibrant, with its bright radiance. The soft colour shade of Orange with Salmon is gentle and not a bit garish, with a touch of light beige pigment for a particularly soft radiance.
Orange with Chestnut can be categorised as a strong spice shade. The rich cinnamon tone is a great accent colour that can also be complemented by anthracite or black in addition to light tones. The Mediterranean, soft Orange with Rust is a really intense and warm colour. This shade of orange is reminiscent of the patina of iron or a roof whose tiles are illuminated by the sun. You can also find a very soft, pastel shade of orange at MissPompadour: LittlePomp Apricot & Cheerful brings a touch of colour into any room without being overpowering.
