Areas of application for orange paint colour
Orange refers to all colour shades between red and yellow. Basically, orange stands for energy and joie de vivre. It is an expression of creativity and promotes general well-being and emotional energy such as compassion, passion and warmth. Orange varnish therefore has a stimulating, dynamic and extravagant effect.
Depending on whether a paint in orange leans more towards red, which is associated with energy, or yellow, which stands for cheerfulness, this colour can appear very differently. The effect of orange coloured paint also depends on what other pigments have been added to the colour. These can be brown pigments that give the orange shade a dark, warm appearance, as with MissPompadour Brown with Terracotta. Or a light beige that transforms orange into a soft salmon tone.
Inside the house, you can create wonderful accents with coloured paint in orange. If you use orange as a wood colour, you can turn an uninteresting piece of furniture into an eye-catcher. If you're brave, paint a wall with orange wall paint - and then design the door to match the wall with orange varnish! Furnishings in subtle beige tones in particular benefit from a few accents in bright orange varnish.
Orange: coloured lacquer for lively wooden furniture
Perhaps you paint a single piece of furniture with furniture paint in orange. Because a piece of wooden furniture can look very chic with a dark, rich varnish in orange. You should then use a matt coloured lacquer quality such as Matt Varnish. Orange doesn't just go well with beige. This colour can also be wonderfully combined with a predominantly green interior. Warm, olive green or greyish green tones in particular go well with furniture lacquer in orange tones. Orange wood lacquer always brings vibrancy and excitement to the room, as the colour stands for fun and joie de vivre.
Orange tones are also perfect for indoor furniture in the kitchen or dining room. Varnishes in orange literally stimulate the appetite, create a friendly atmosphere and also stimulate mental activity and a good mood. These are all effects that are highly desirable in dining rooms and kitchens.
Orange varnishes can even be used in bedrooms. There, it makes sense to choose a warm and calming coloured paint in orange for a statement piece. How about Orange with Chestnut?
If you are painting untreated wood, it makes sense to prime with MissPompadour To Bond & Block. The primer prevents bleeding wood from staining your paint coat.
Orange varnish for painting metal
You can also embellish metal furniture or banisters with orange coloured paint. Orange is familiar from the lead-based rust inhibitor red lead, which used to be almost ubiquitous. Although it is hardly used today, it can be found on the exterior of many older building structures. If you want to avoid the anti-rust look, make sure that your orange colour stands out clearly from the classic red lead orange.
Priming with To Bond & Block is also recommended on metal so that the colour can adhere better to the smooth surface. If you are painting rusty metal, sand off the rust well and use a rust protection primer before applying the primer.
Embellish plastics with orange coloured paint
Surfaces made of plastic or with plastic veneer can also be beautifully finished with orange coloured paint. You should then only apply a primer such as MissPompadour To Bond & Block. The primer creates a secure hold for your varnish on the smooth plastic surface. Then there's nothing to stop you transforming your high-gloss kitchen fronts or old IKEA furniture!
Paint tiles, stone and concrete with coloured orange paint
Inside the house, you can finish stone window sills or exposed brickwork with a coloured orange paint. A dull concrete wall that you've grown tired of can be given a radiant effect and put in a good mood with a coat of Orange with Goldfish.
Tiles in the house, whether on the floor or on the wall, can create a whole new mood with a coat of tile paint in orange tones. This can put a bathroom in a good mood early in the morning. with To Bond & Block can also help the colour adhere better to the tiles.
If you are painting floor tiles, it is also advisable to give them extra protection with MissPompadour To Seal after painting. This will help them withstand daily wear and tear.
The MissPompadour Stencils can also be used to combine coloured lacquer in different shades of orange. Incidentally, varnishes in orange also go wonderfully with all shades of grey.

In the Eggshell Varnish quality, it is weatherproof and therefore suitable for outdoor use.

This bright varnish really puts you in a good mood and is perfect for creating radiant effects. Another varnish in orange is the vibrant Orange with Goldfish, an orange that goes particularly well with the Midcentury style, as it is the typical orange of the Panton era. For those who prefer a softer colour, go for Orange with Salmon. With its light, beige pigments, this colour shade has a "softly drawn" effect. Orange with Rust is darker and more sophisticated. And last but not least, there is a varnish that comes across as warm and cosy. It is the rich Orange with Chestnut. This shade comes from the Mediterranean colour spectrum. It evokes memories of rocks in Haute Provence, as immortalised by Cézanne in his paintings.
