Don't like your tiles any more? You can, of course, have tradesmen come and fit new tiles. You'll certainly end up with a great result, but also high costs and a lot of dirt in the house. There's an easier way: paint your tiles with tile paint. We have summarised the most important tips.

Is blue your favourite colour? Then why not choose blue varnish to redesign your bathroom or kitchen? Painting tiles works wonderfully if you keep a few things in mind.
Firstly, the surfaces must be absolutely clean. In the bathroom, all soap and limescale residue, as well as dust and grease, must be removed so that the primer and varnish can adhere. The best way to do this is to use the mild but effective MissPompadour To Clean cleaning agent. Avoid aggressive cleaners with chlorine or strongly alkaline cleaning agents at all costs. These can leave residues in the rough joints and damage your tile coating afterward.
Next, you should take a look at your silicone joints. Paint cannot adhere well to silicone. Fortunately, a new product has been available for some time: MissPompadour To Seal Silicone. Paint over your silicone joints with a thin brush. You can then easily paint over it with the primer or tile paint.
The surfaces must be primed before you use the blue tile paint. To ensure that the blue tile paint can adhere to very smooth surfaces, you should apply a primer coat of To Bond & Block. This primer also increases the high opacity of your tile paint. This is particularly important if your substrate is heavily patterned and you want to work with light blue colour shades.
The Eggshell Varnish quality is a perfect tile varnish. It creates a silky matt, elegant surface that is easy to maintain and is also extremely stable. This tile paint is characterised by high water resistance. Running water does not harm Eggshell Varnish, only standing water should be avoided. You can therefore also use it for the wall tiles in the shower. We recommend additionally reinforcing these surfaces with To Seal. Water resistance is also a prerequisite for a tiled splashback in the kitchen. You can give your kitchen a new, contemporary look with blue colour on the tiles.
Eggshell Varnish adheres to almost all tiles, although there are a few exceptions: Waxed or otherwise impregnated tiles usually cannot be painted, nor can tiles with a lotus effect.
The tile paint is applied twice to the primed substrate. Use a brush for the joints. Paint the rest of the tiles with a Roller. Thanks to the high opacity of the tile paint, supported by the primer, you can easily paint away even eye-catching patterns with your blue tile paint. If you want to make your surface even more hard-wearing and harder, applya final coat of MissPompadour To Seal.
